How to create a fanned out, and lifted plait.

You want to create as few as possible – 5 or 7 depending on the length of your horse’s neck.

This style is very popular in dressage. It enhances the outline of the horse’s neck, making it look more muscular.

A slightly longer mane (6”-7”) is perfect, and it works amazingly on normal-thick manes.

You will have to sew these plaits in, as you won’t be able to create the same ‘lift’ with banded plaits.
